When I look at my Year 4 Portfolio I notice many things. I can tell that it is organized very well. My examples of work were excellent representations of my teaching pedagogy. I also think that my recommendation letters were great! My professional statement was right on target. My reviewer even said that I had no areas of weakness there!
Some of the improvements that my reviewer commented on were putting in the grades of the examples of work that my teacher's had given me. The review also said I could add examples of student work to the portfolio for evidence of student learning.
Other than those few things I didn't really have any issues with my portfolio. I do know that I would like to have added pictures or something similar to my cover to help add more personality to this portfolio. That was something I didn't really think of until I saw some of my colleagues portfolios. I had just concentrated on keeping my portfolio organized, to the point, and professional.
When it comes to making my Year 5 Portfolio I am definitely going to add work from the students and possibly pictures or videos. I think that that would be a great way for the viewers to really get to know my lesson and my teaching style. I also think that it will make it more interactive. Plus, since the portfolio is online it will provide more opportunities for that!

In the ones I've reviewed, it stands out when there's continuity across the strands. Think hard about your philosophy, and use that to make the connection throughout the writing. It really stands out when you can see those connections.
