As I spend more time here at North Elementary I am meeting more of the faculty and staff. I have met most of the teachers in the school, but I am becoming very close with the fifth grade team. We currently have team meetings every day for a half an hour to coordinate plans for our classes. Here we discuss students needs, future plans, and upcomming events.
During our individual planning periods we also spend a lot of time together. This is the first time that I have been with a host teacher that spends her planning period team planning with other teachers. This has helped make sure that every CSO is covered and offers helpful tips for classroom activities.
I also have personally become involved with the other teachers. Since we spend so much time together. I have become very comfortable with each fifth grade teacher. It is very helpful having all the support and even some comic relief on a daily basis. I feel very lucky to have been able to have not only a mentor teacher, but a mentor team to guide me through this learning experience.

I feel lucky to have an intern who makes the most of a placement! Why do you think that this team plans together (other than the extra planning period) more than other teams that you've been placed with at North? I'd be interested on that persepctive.
